The Villa Matraia has been divided into 7 apartments, each one individually designed and elegantly furnished and equipped with all the modern comforts while retaining their original features for a perfectly relaxing holiday in the wonderful Tuscan countryside.
Located on the 1st floor of the Villa (39 steps) the apartment Botticelli is one of the largest and most attractive in , and thanks to its many windows, it is very bright but also offers a wonderful panoramic view to the south of the valley and an excellent view of the sunset to the west.
The apartment comprises two levels and has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and can accommodate up to 4+2 guests. On the ground floor of the apartment, there is a living / dining room, a very modern and well-equipped kitchen, a lovely modern-style master bedroom with superb four poster bed and en-suite bathroom with tub.
On the upper level (16 steps) there is another modern-style double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower and a delightful skylight right above the bed, which allows you to admire the stars at night.

At the entrance of the building a stone stair-case leads to the upper floor where it is situated the I Cipressi apartment, can accommodate up to 4+2 guests.. The living room consists of an inviting environment comprehensive of a sitting-room and a kitchen. From the living room one can access to the night area composed by two double bedrooms in typical lucchese style and two bath-rooms (with shower unit).

In this apartment prestigious elements are its exposed beams and an original spiral staircase which leads to an upper floor.

I Lecci
Situated at the end of the staircase, at the first floor of the Farmhouse building, the apartment I Lecci is divided into 5 rooms and can accommodate up to 4 guests. The living room, it isn’t so wide but it is very bright thanks to its south-facing windows, and it is furnished with modern kitchen, original fireplace, and elements of complement furniture above all in wrought-iron. From the living-room two doors bring you in two bed-rooms and one bath-room (with shower-unit). Both bed-rooms have typical lucchese style furniture, with iron-wrought double beds and both furnished with bath-rooms- one of them with unit shower.

Restoration works have preserved the original ceiling of the apartment with its exposed beams, like in all the entire estate.

The apartment Donatello is located on the 1st floor of the Villa comprises two levels. The apartment can accommodate up to 2+2 guests and has been furnished in such a way to offer guests a perfect combination of old and traditional but at the same time modern and new. The apartment is very light and airy thanks to its many windows, which also offer fantastic views over the hills and valleys around Lucca.
On the ground level of the apartment, there is a spacious living room with light blue coloured walls and very elegant classic style furniture of the same blue colour (chairs, settee and marble table). This colour gives the room a lovely feeling of space, peace and tranquillity. Next door is the dining room with seating for up to 6 people, the well equipped modern kitchen and guest bathroom complete with shower.
The master bedroom is particularly light and airy and the interior is characterised by a unique combination of elegant, classic style furniture and several Oriental style lamps, a closet space and en-suite bathroom with tub. From the window above the bathtub you can enjoy a beautiful view over the hills by day and the outline of the hills set against the starlit sky by night The bathroom window looks on to the hills, and at night, you can see the.
On the left hand side of the living room, 14 steps lead up to the upper level of the apartment where there is a small loft area with two armchairs and a sofa bed and lots of colourful paintings on the wall.

Located on the 1st floor of the Villa (35 steps) the apartment ”Leonardo” is definitely the most attractive in Villa Matraia and if you want to enjoy the simplicity, and at the same time refinement, of modern decor, then this apartment is just right for you. The apartment comprises two levels and can accommodate up to 4 guests with two bedrooms and three bathrooms.
It has a very spacious and well-lit open-plan living area and thanks to the special lighting effects in the apartment, at night, you can achieve an extremely cosy atmosphere- these include low lighting, a lit stairwell (several different coloured LED lights), ground lamps that stand around one metre tall, and spot lights on the ceiling The spacious lounge area is furnished with a leather sofa, placed in the centre of the room along with separate adjustable seats. There is also a marvellous home theatre with elegant and very comfortable sofas, a 50-inch flat screen lcd TV, Dolby surround sound, and satellite. The dining area is dominated by a large 10-seater oak table and a well-equipped and modern kitchen (with large American fridge-freezer) set in stainless steel. Being a very suggesting residenceIl Masaccio is thought for those who try to escape from everyday routine and search for a really “different” accommodation. Situated entirely on the basement of the Villa and with its vaulted brick ceilings and stone walls, the apartment was originally used as cellar for the precious olive oil. Today, after the reconstruction, it is used as a residence composed of one bedroom and one bathroom so that it can host up to 4 guests.
A vast lounge area is furnished with two sofas (one is a sofa bed), a wengè table and 4 leather chairs, a modern functional steel kitchen and a bathroom with shower.
The double bedroom located at two levels is very spacious. On the inferior level you can find a comfortable wardrobe, while on the upper floor there is a splendid bed that has a form of a boat and is covered by leather.

Thanks to the charm of its furniture in Lucchese Style, and the brightness produced by the elegant lamps in brass, this first room is so warm and welcoming at the same time and can accommodate up to 4 guests. It also has a comfortable sofa bed, dining area with table and equipped modern kitchen, whose colouring makes the room so luminous, perfectly in harmony with the living room. The same attention paid for the design of the kitchen is also evident with the choice of the details, like the handles of the furniture.
The sleeping area is composed by a huge double bedroom, in Lucchese style as the rest of the house, with wide wardrobe and bathroom (with shower).

The apartment Le Querce is located in the Farmhouse building on the first floor, with a private entrance through its own stone stairs.

The living room area is spacious, inviting and bright, composed by a kitchen and a sitting room. This first part of the apartment is linked through a long corridor, with two double bed-rooms furnished with rustic Lucchese style and two bathrooms (both with shower) and can accommodate up to 4 guests.

The most valuable elements of this house are the original fireplace of the second bedroom, and the wonderful beamed ceilings, as witness of the past of the building, in which the apartment is fitted, besides the care had during the restoration, makes each room so characteristic.

Gli Ulivi
Situated in ancient building of the Hayloft, apatment Gli Ulivi offers, thanks to its position, a braethtaking view of the Plain of Lucca and can accommodate up to 4+2 guests. Entering in the living area, infact, it is possible admire the panorama through the south  windows, that provide a great brightness. The modern furniture of this first room, with dining room and equipped kitchen, perfectly fits in the old structure (beamed ceilings, a stone wall and mandolata)

From the living room, a cotto staircase leads to the sleeping area: one little room with to single beds, very close to the main one, a double bedroom, from which you can enjoy a privite garden, and functional bathroom (with shower).

Le Macine

Situated in the heart of the Borgo, in the ancient building of the Grinder, that originally hosted the oil-mill; the apartment Le Macine , thanks to its central position, a breathtaking panorama, overlooking the all Plain of Lucc and can accommodate up to 4+2 guests. A short common hall to the whole building, leads to the main entrance of the apartment, which is sets on to levels: at the fist floor, the sleeping area formed by a pretty double bedroom, with beds in wrought- iron, entirely furnished in classical style, divided by the second one, a little, but nice bedroom, with two single beds in wrought-iron as well, from a wide bathroom (with shower) with high colours, that perfectly match with the colouration of the external building, besides remembering its use.

Thanks to a nice staircase we reach the second floor, a very bright and spacious room, with high and imposing beamed ceilings, equipped with living room, with splendid view, furnished in classical style, with comfortable sofas from warm colours,  table, elegant handcraft kitchen, and little bathroom.(with shower). This room hosts above, a wide mezzanine area, a proper loft, easy accessible by a glass stair, with an inviting sofa bed.
