The site of the villa is very very old , dating back to the Longobard period in VI century- when the Longobard ruled Lucca ? in fact within the building of the villa, there is enclosed an old watching Tower, overlooking the valley where there was the passage to north Tuscany and north Italy-

In occasion of a wedding between two important lucchesi noble families, the villa was restored-in a magnificent way- Along the centuries the villa become also a convent, and residence for some famous lucchesi people The present restoration has preserved all the antique ,original structure of the villa- using cotto tiles, , wood beans, many works in hand- forged iron.

The antique frescoes have been carefully restored , along with the great Loggia- The villa maintains all the grandeur , elegance and charm of the old Ville Lucchesi.
