The Luxury Villa parts dating back to the 17th century and parts to the 18th century when it was enlarged and refined with decorations.

It is situated on the level countryside  in Lucca area, with a large lovely Italian garden full of flowers,fruit trees, and old   lemon pots .All the garden is surrounded  by an old garden-wall keeping it nicely secluded from the outside world.
The name La Pergola comes from an old vine pergola running  along  two sides of the garden-wall.

This elegant villa has been in the family “ for ever “. In the old days it was part of a vast estate with  the homes for farmers behind it. All the complex was called “ La Corte” , a typical lucchese country settlement still existing in some areas  of Lucca countryside.

The owner is a creative lady who is still maintaining the traditional manufacturing of old lucchesi  silk fabrics for house decoration. Her studio is located in the  lemon-house, an annex to the villa.
It is consequently understandable  the way she recently  fully restored the  house, equipping it with all  the modern appliances, but  yet maintaining the traditional charm
and character  of a typical period villa, with terracotta tiled floors, and frescoed rooms.

Antique precious furniture and refined upholstery and decoration make the villa elegant and charming, a special  stay for art lovers.

Pizzeria-Trattoria “ Da Moreno “ 3 minutes  mts. /  “Angelino “  very good icecream maker- 3 minutes.

El  Caballo – great bar – great drinks – 3 minutes-

Excellent restaurants nearby- La Mora- La Buca di S. Antonio- Puccini etc.

Tennis court- close to the house- Golf course 20 kms- /Forte dei Marmi / the beach-30 kms- Viareggio- Forte dei Marmi /  Pisa 20 kms- Florence 60 kms- Siena two hours- Portofino one and half hour-Cinque Terre- one hour/ Carrara and Michelangelo marble caves, one hour/  Pietrasanta, the artist town, 30 minutes.

The Villa is km. 3.50 from the walls of Lucca
The guests can reach Lucca main  square in about 10- 15  minutes , by car or by bicycle.
