The property is a Medici villa commissioned by the Marchese Niccolò Antinori in the 15th century. It remained in the Antinori's possession until the beginning of the last century, when the family sold the property.
The Villa stands on a stunning hill just outside Florence in an area known as Firenze Certosa, named after the nearby monastery La Certosa.

The area can be defined the entrance to the Chianti region, renowned for its wine groves and breathtaking landscapes.

The villa is ideally positioned for visiting local places of interest. A stone's throw away from the centre of Florence it is also well placed for day excursions to Siena, Lucca and Pisa.

In the 1980’s, Leonardo and Beatrice Ferragamo bought the villa it and made it their home.

The owners’ affection for the Villa motivated them to carry out a restoration project which was completed in 2003.

During the course of the refurbishment, the villa was fitted with all the modern comforts and practicalities while maintaining and enhancing its historical features.

The Villa stands at the end of a great driveway of ancient cypresses. It is built around a courtyard and is surrounded by gardens and olive groves.

Next to the Villa is the Cedar Garden, a sweeping lawn enclosed by high hedges and ancient trees, embellished by antique rose bushes and pietra serena pedestals bearing potted lemon trees, and a 300 year old Lebanese cedar.

The Villa is built on several floors according to the layout typical of aristocratic villas.

A professional team manages the hospitality at Villa, guaranteeing a 5 star hotel service to its guests. The staff is dedicated to maintain absolute perfection from house keeping, concierge services and butler service and breakfast preperation.

The Villa is available to hire for special occasions and events in Florence. The villa makes for a regal setting for wedding receptions, private functions, sumptuous parties and memorable corporate functions.

The entire ground level (400m²) and surrounding gardens (1000m²) of the historic villa can cater for up to a thousand standing guests and four hundred seated guests.

Event planners are free to use their own contractors. Alternatively, we can arrange for food catering, live or recorded music and other event entertainment.
